Good Morning
I am a slacker today! I did not prepare a post and I'm asking
the question, "where the heck did the weekend go?!" It went by so fast! It was a great weekend though! Jon and I made a flower bed in the back yard and planted some flowers and I also had my singing debut with the praise team at our church. Hope you all had a great weekend and I will leave you with this....
Praying for those in the path of the storm!

Whew! What a week!!
As you may know from a previous post( A place we call home) my husband and I have been busy moving into our new home! I took a few days off last week from blogging and reading blogs so I could get organized and moved in the best I can while my parents were here from Houston to help. We also haven't switched over the internet from the apartment, so I'm blogging at Starbucks sipping on the best drink ever! The famous PSL with soy milk! I just can't get enough of them!
Here is what has been going on the past week...
First, my mom and grandpa drove up to "supervise" while I pack. They were great company!! My mom recently had rotator cuff surgery so she had to take it easy.
The morning they arrived we enjoyed lunch at Denny's
Then the fun began!
We decided to take a break from working inside and do some yard work and man did that kick my butt! I pulled out all of the dead bushes and some of those roots were so big and tough!! My dad also drove up from Houston to lend a helping hand later in the week!
Digging out those stubborn bushes!! I think there were at least 8!
Planting some mums!!
Saturday morning we went to the local Farmers Market to buy some of our weekly groceries.
There were some plumbing issues one night...and we finally ate dinner around 11PM! We were starving!!!!
The last night my parents were here we celebrated my mom's birthday! I was so thankful that I could celebrate it with her this year! We went out to dinner and she took home a piece of Key Lime Pie!
Whew! What a busy week! We still have a few more things to move in, but man am I tired!! I hope you all had a great week and I look forward to catching up with all the blogs I follow! Even though I have only been away a week...I have really missed it.
Have a great day!

Moving makes you dog tired.....
It was my grandpas last night visiting so we enjoyed a nice Italian dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in Downtown McKinney!!
Then it was back to more moving....

Weekend Update!
I'm linking up for the first time with Sami at Sami's Shenanigans for the
This morning I have a case of the Monday's! I just didn't want to get out of bed!! I wanted to sleep all day and dream about the great weekend I had.
Friday night Jon and I went to one of my favorite resturaunts of all time, Pappadeaux! It was so good :) Then we got home and watched The Heartbreak Kid. That movie is crazy...I really don't know what I thought about it.
Saturday morning Jon and I got up early and headed to the Farmer's Market. We have lived here for about a year and this was a first time for us. The market goes on every weekend in the spring and summer but starting this month it only happends once a month. We didn't buy any produce since we still had some in the fridge from the grocery store, but we did buy some local olive oil, fresh flowers, coffee and some soap made from goats milk. The goats milk soap is amazing! If you have any type of skin irritation, I recommend this stuff! You can shave with it and it also takes off makeup. I love buying things locally made to help the community.
The big event of the weekend was the Texas Blogger Meet up!! It was fabulous!!! We all met up at A Piece of Work in Ft. Worth where we shared some wine and painted a canvaas together. It was hosted by three lovely ladies, Julie from A Beautiful Day, Sarah from City Girl Gone Country and Taylor from Goings On In Texas. They did such a great job putting it all together and supplying all the wine and yummy snacks. I'm still new to this blog thing and I was just introduce to this group maybe a few weeks ago, so I only knew a few of the ladies, but now it just makes it more exciting to start reading the other blogs. I didn't post very many pictures, but I would like to thank all the lovely ladies who brought their cameras and shared their pictures!
I hope you all had a great weekend as well and hope it's a good week too!
